FHA Infection Prevention Hot Topic: Candida Auris:
Collaboration and Transitions of Care to Post-Acute Settings
Thursday, August 17, 2023
2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. ET
Overview
Candida Auris (C. Auris) is a fungal infection that can be transmitted
in the health care setting and may cause outbreaks. When identified,
patients should receive treatment that is timely and effective. Even
with timely and effective treatment, it can lead to challenges in
transitions of care to the most appropriate setting for many of these
patients. This webinar will be led by nationally recognized infection
prevention expert, Linda Greene, RN, MPS, CIC, FAPIC, and includes
information focused on identification, preventing transmission,
treatment, and strategies for transitions of care for patients diagnosed
with candida auris.
This virtual event is part of the FHA Infection Prevention webinar
series that provides hospital infection preventionists with the latest
information, evidence-based practice, and resources for eliminating
hospital-acquired infections (HAI).
