FHA Maternal Mortality Call to Action Kick-Off Webinar
Monday, May 22, 2023
1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. (ET)
FHA has issued a Call to Action for hospitals to help reduce maternal mortality in Florida. A recent CDC report showed the rate of maternal death was 33 deaths per 100,000 lives births in 2021, a 40% increase and the highest rate seen since 1965. Florida's Maternal Mortality Review Committee, which analyzes maternal deaths in Florida, reports that the state’s pregnancy-related mortality rate has increased every year since 2016.
FHA member hospitals have a significant role to play in preventing these maternal deaths. Please join us on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. to learn more about the FHA Call to Action, the Florida Department of Health priorities, the latest from the Maternal Mortality Review Committee and resources from the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative to support this effort.
