Medicaid 101

Medicaid 101 training provides a comprehensive overview of the Medicaid program, focusing on its structure, key concepts, and its impact on healthcare professionals and institutions in Florida. The course will cover fundamental aspects such as Medicaid eligibility, the range of services covered, methods of service delivery, and the sources and distribution of Medicaid funding. Additionally, participants will delve into the basics of Florida Medicaid hospital budgeting, including rate-setting, the effects of managed care plan capitation rates, and supplemental payment programs available to hospitals. The objective of this training is to equip attendees with the essential knowledge to understand how Medicaid reimburses for hospital-related services and to discuss recent policy developments.
