IP Hot Topic: The Role of IP in Surveillance / Prevention

FHA Infection Prevention Hot Topic: The Role of the IP in
Surveillance and Prevention of Skin Infections
Wednesday, March 13, 2024
2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. ET

Overview
It is not uncommon for patients to be admitted to the acute or post-acute setting with skin infections due to bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites.  Recognizing these transmissible conditions of the skin in patients is critical in preventing transmission to staff and patients.  Appropriate and timely treatment will also reduce the risk of subsequent mild to severe infection that can lead to adverse outcomes.

This webinar series is led by nationally recognized infection prevention expert, Linda Greene, RN, MPS, CIC, FAPIC, and we look forward to having hospital infection preventionists contribute to the discussion. Please join FHA on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, for this important educational program. This virtual event is part of the FHA Infection Prevention webinar series that provides hospital infection preventionists with the latest information, evidence-based practice, and resources for eliminating hospital-acquired infections (HAI).
