Florida Hospital Association Updated Statement on CARES Act

Statement Below on Behalf of FHA Interim President Crystal Stickle

"On behalf of more than 200 members of the Florida Hospital Association, including the nurses, physicians and other health care professionals who are caring for our patients, we applaud yesterday's passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act by the U.S. House of Representatives.  We appreciate the President's swift signature, which will ensure our hospitals and health care professionals on the frontline of this pandemic can receive the additional resources needed to continue their life-saving work.

We also thank Florida's Congressional delegation for their continued commitment to Florida hospitals, health care workers and patients. As the number of COVID-19 cases in Florida continue to rise, and the strain on our health care system increases, we will be working closely with the delegation to ensure all of our hospitals and health care workers on the front lines remain a priority for sustained federal assistance."
