Measles Cases Seen in Florida Visitors

As Florida experiences visitors with confirmed cases of measles, it is important that health care professionals review the clinical presentation of measles. Dr. Anna Likos, M.D., M.P.H., state epidemiologist and director of the Florida Department of Health Division of Disease Control and Health Protection provided a letter to health care providers   about measles as well as a "Think Measles" infographic. This information may assist hospitals and health care providers. Please share this information as deemed appropriate. The department emphasized the dissemination of this information to emergency departments and urgent care centers; as well as, pediatric, family practice and internal medicine clinics.  Contact John Wilgis , director of emergency management, at (407) 841-6230 for more information.
