National Health Care Quality Week &
Infection Prevention Week

October 20-26, 2013

Join us in celebrating National Healthcare Quality Week and Infection Prevention Week. Help us thank all healthcare quality heroes: quality professionals, infection and control professionals, physicians, nurses and staff members who work tirelessly to provide high quality patient care.

Florida hospitals have a lot to celebrate as we observe National Healthcare Quality Week.  Over the past five years, our hospitals have been working together to improve quality. Today, we've seen real results. Complications and readmissions have dropped, lives have been saved and millions of dollars in costs are avoided each year.

Through our quality efforts, we've seen that:

  • It is possible to achieve statewide improvement, in a state as diverse as Florida.
  • Focusing on improving quality in specific areas of care can lead to meaningful progress.
  • Quality care can cost less.
  • And collaboration among hospitals is the additive that accelerates quality gains.
