It is important that hospitals, and the associations that represent them, comment on new proposed rules. New regulations are most often introduced through a process of proposed rulemaking, a period of comment, and release of a final rule that responds to submitted comments and establishes the final provisions for implementation. By sharing concerns, impacts, and questions, hospitals, and the associations that represent them, are able to have their views heard and play an important role in the rulemaking process.
FHA is actively involved in the federal rulemaking process by submitting comment letters on behalf of its membership on a number of key issues.
